Goals

​

1. Create page of iconographers that do commissions and/or personal icons in any Western style(s)

2. Merge all collections into one collection, which will allow a working search engine for the whole site

3. Build filtering for subjects, and ability to de-select a filter without refreshing page

4. Fix inconsistent length of catalog entries when titles take >2 lines

Minor Updates (6-7/2024):

• Updated images, removed dead entries. General inventory improvements

• 'Gothic' → 'Late Gothic & Italo-Byzantine'

Minor Update (12/15/2021):

• Brought back Academic style icons like I said I probably would

• Expanded inventory in Tapestry

• 'Triptych & Diptychs' → 'Triptychs' because there is only one diptych left

• 'Celtic' → 'Insular', which is more historically accurate (e.g. Anglo-Saxons)

• 'Post-Schism' → 'Modern' because the old name wasn't descriptive.

• I also removed Modern the icons that, frankly, looked very strange and shouldn't have been there to begin with. It's a much better section now I think.

Major Update 5 (12/12/2020): 

• 'Fresco' is now 'Romanesque' and includes fresco as well as Romanesque illumination icons

• 'Illumination' is thus now named 'Gothic Illumination'

• Made catalogue pages friendly to smaller screens

• Implemented improved layout to non flat icon pages

• Created 'Tapestry' page with inventory.

Minor Update (10/14/2020):

• Publishing of unfinished work from the summer, which includes a much-needed banner update.

• Removal of 'Westernized' and 'Academic' Icons from visibility; this may be reversed to some degree at a later time.

Major Update 4 (6/22-25/2020):

Large changes regarding categorization & interface:

• Split 'Pre-Schism' into 'Illumination', 'Fresco', & 'Celtic'

• Applied new interface (including mobile) to all icon pages

• Re-categorized many icons between 'Westernized' and 'Academic'
